My name is Sabtha Martyr Milrose, manager of the "Santé et Bonheur pour Tous" health clinic in Haiti. Since 2023, POVEDEPOV has provided invaluable charity support to our clinic in Haiti, particularly for children who lack the means to see a doctor, fill medical prescriptions, or access emergency services. We are deeply grateful for the community support you give, as it plays a crucial role in The Poor Helping The Poor. I am Claudine Castor St. Louis, a young educator and one of the leaders of POVEDEPOV in Haiti. Our mission focuses on charity support, helping the poorest people gain access to a good education while promoting respect for children’s rights — including the right to education, the right to health, the right to protection, and the right to have a family. The meaning of povedepov
“Povedepov” means the Poor helping the Poor. Though even some of our donors dislike the name, it reflects our deep respect for those we serve. As we say in Haiti, the earth is round and it turns ... today’s rich may be tomorrow’s poor, and vice versa.
